Ranked games in single player custom battle

The first time I tried to play a custom single player battle on the iPad, the ranked option was chosen by default, but each time I tried to start a game, I got an error saying that at least two members must be on each team. I tried adding computer players and switching to a team game, but I always got the same error.

Is there something I don't understand here or is it just impossible to play a ranked game vs. the computer?

Ranked games can only be played against other humans. To play computers it must be unranked. (Well to be precise you must have at least 2 humans on "Other team(s)"

Sorry for the confusion here, diesbudt is correct. Ranked games only for human vs. at least 1 other human (bots don't have a skill rating).

For singleplayer, the game options default to whatever your last setting was. So, if you recently played a ranked game, the setting would state as such.
