Warmage the idea here is to quickly asses your own units so the highlight is for your units only!
Otherwise things could get cluttered and the borders are enough for the team members

I like the highlight idea and I think it's enough of a visual cue to asses your situation
You will have colors to see which players are playing where and square for the teams
And highlight for yourself however I think its best to make the highlight the same color as team otherwise it might override the team cue or in case of ffa the color you have

General Chat / Redesign the connect screen

Can the developer(s) redesign the connect screen?
As it is now there is no warning about multiple accounts and player with accounts have a big Play now as guest button witch goes against the logic that this is prohibited
It would be nice to have on the first screen with the account details already remembered and just a login button as well as a warning down the page,and the play as guest button smaller

So make it an option where you could select the time added(none 5sec 10sec 15sec) ? Besides players who know what there doing could probably assert quickly the situation and act so it doesn't matter to them the extra 10 sec, but for someone not at that level might result in a wasted opportunity that they could have used
As it stands depending on the map the 2nd turn is always the best(except rush maps then its 2nd best)

The nice thing is that I knew about this game from the same contest(through another project) and I think is awesome and definitely deserve to win

At random once every 2nd turn he is given a school in which he cast with 1 less mana
the next turn the bonus disappears

Mindless | 1 Card | 5 Valor
Travels 2 random blocks besides move and sprint,if it hits a blocking unit(aka wants to move at that unit) both will be stunned(character's stun should wear off next round)

R.I.P | 3/4 Cards | 15
Any hero(including himself and allies) in los gets 1str attack for ever hp they have +2 str
(aka a 2/6 hero gets 2+2=4str attack)

Description:A dark mage inspired by all the magical arts,at the cost of his humanity turned himself into something no more human, in the hopes of gaining time to master them all.But fate didn't stand and watch and his magical forces that bind him slowly corroded his mind and turned it into madness.

What he ask is not the whole time each turn but on the first turn
On 1min if you have the first turn you don't know anything about  the opponents placement or your initial cards and once you get a general idea you might lose precious time to make the actions them selfs
A 15 sec initial time for first player gives enough time to get an general idea of things
