Disconnect?

Is it me or is the Disconnect working a s a Surrender button currently?
I got bugged in a game and it seems it registered as a surrender when I pressed the Disconect button

Tampit, which button are you referring to?  I can't recall anything labeled as "Disconnect".  If you mean "Exit" from the menu, then, yes, that does count as a surrender but it should warn you as such with a prompt before letting you leave the game.
