I fully support that idea Ross. That way, first turn Mage kills will be almost impossible. If all mages had to have at least 2/3 valor before they can even cast, it would be very difficult to eliminate an opposing mage before they have even had a chance to move. Also speed up games by reducing the amount of times that one gets trapped in their start location by a horde of summons. It would make for an interesting dynamic and force many of us to rethink our strategies. good idea!

I also would like to say: Cheers to OOK!! He had that game within his grasp, only 2 things could've prevented his victory: bad luck (he had 2 rolls to kill my mage, or it woulda gotten ugly) or a glitch. Aero is right, we should've dropped that game, but pride got in our way. But that pride I have is also in playing along side those like ook and Aero. Two guys I run across frequently and couldn't be happier to play against, or even lose to. Great bunch of people on Heromages. If theres a bad egg amongst the bunch, I don't believe i've yet to meet them. Cheers ook!

i'm seeing the error of my ways. i read the forums like mad, but alot of the basic stuff i missed. sad:( i know. I also see why that makes sense. Thanks guys. Just have to start buffing ol' Sami even more! :)

I feel guilty posting this considering i won the battle, but A.) I would have won much faster- B.) Its something i need to know if i'm misinterpreting.

maybe i put in too much, but i wanted you to see the turn before mine, to assure there were no buffs to the rogue.  In theory, with the samurai getting the plus 2 damage to attacks, there should have been 5 damage done. (same number of hp of the rogue). Now i may have been confused, but is that to a max of 3 damage, at which point, the passive ability is only to ensure that if you roll one above def you do 3 damage regardless? just hoping someone can clarify that. i have the whole game log, if you'd like it. let me know.

I just wanted to public announce my pride to count Baker among our ranks. I believe we should all be proud of him, and wish him luck in his latest endeavor! I won't go into detail, for i have very little. But congratulations Baker, i'm sure you killed it and your brilliance will be put to very good, and noble, use.

Have you thought about adding a "silence" card that negates passive, skill, and spell casting, for a turn? Just a thought, or as an ability on a new guardian or mage.

I played a couple games late last night that I DC'd from, almost back to back. I was having a service provider problem. I emailed them when I could last night and they promptly got back to me and said that they were doing some maintenance that resulted in the ebbs in my services. So i would like to apologize to all the fine people who I abandoned during those couple games last night. It most likely hurt me, and helped you, so enjoy the rank boost... for now, cuz i'm coming for you.

yeah we could do like pool play in 4 groups (or even 2 if only 8 ppl sign up) and then pull a double elim. it can easily be worked out, and nothing special would need to be done, as long as we had someone to monitor times and such, and to track results. It could even be done on the forums. Really want this to happen, and sadly i'll be lucky to get a win! :)

I just had a long convo with Diesbudt, about many things, and through this conversation i realized that if we do a tourney it should be a "best of" thing, like first few rounds best of 3 then final: same or "of 5" i don't know. Just putting it together sounds more fair that way. Downside: huge time commitment. But i think luck is too big a factor for single elim duels... Just my opinion. Do with it what you will friends.

In my opinion things work very well. Yes, sometimes it can "delay" the end of the game, but the balance is good. The paladin can make his death more... labor intensive, but in turn he, unless previously buffed, is less likely to cause the damage needed to win in that situation. But then there is the Barb who has less, but if you use him correctly he does TONS of damage in little time. Psionist is another good example.

Its about choice. The self buffs make sense. Why would a Paladin not be able to heal himself realistically? Thats just me, i think the balance of the game is on target.

For what its worth, I say don't mess with the self buff.
