I am not able to go back in and edit my profile, I could be missing something but I think that was happening to someone else too.

I couldn't figure it out either.

Maybe I'm just a total noob though.

Where are you trying to edit your profile? The "Profile" section in the forums will only let you view your forum stats (recent posts and such). To change your avatar/email/password, you need to use the in-game "My Account" tab. Let me know if this resolves the issue.
