How many times have any of you turned on los, and without thinking ended your turn absent mindedly when you really wanted to just turn it off?

Well, I would propose a change in the position of the los button . . . to somewhere not near the "End turn" button.

The easiest, but not necessarily the most possible option would be a hot key that would be activate while holding it or push to toggle it.

The second thing that has gotten me into trouble is not moving one of my characters.

Something brightly colored and easy to see (like a green shade to the characters in the battle-window) to draw attention to characters that haven't been moved/attacked yet.

The last problem I have faced is the "one step". I just realised I had stepped one too far, but it's too late.

I can't address this problem directly, but a button or key (as above) that would allow a player to click on an opposing unit and see all possible moves that character could make (by highlighting the squares or the outlines thereof).

What does everyone think? Do these ideas seem reasonable?

Shouldn't the Rogue in stead be an archer since his skills focus on the bow . . . I don't know that's just been bothering me a bit.

I was dissappointed when I first played the Soul Reaver and she did not, in fact, reave the souls of her enemies.

I would like to see an ability which reflects this replace the duel ability.

Something which may fit is: If the Soul Reaver deals a killing blow as part of her counter attack she regains one life . . . or since duel is a cost ability, spend one spell and she regains lifepoints (1) if the attack is a killing blow.

I like the second option since it makes more sense in my head.

Game Balance / Samurai's Eviscerate

Yeah there are summons that start with one hit point and this ability is expensive because the samurai gets an additional attack, but I found that the warrior's abilities tend to outshine the samurai's by far.

My suggestion to make the samurai more interesting would be to just allow the ability to give the Samurai an extra attack at the cost of three spells.

As an option This double attack could instead stay cheap (1-2) but both attacks are made at a reduced strength (cost 2, can make an additional attack, both attacks made at -1 strength). Both options still take advantage of the Samurai's damage bonus, but have costs or penalties to offset that.

Now that I think about it, I like the second option.

Feature Requests / "Evil" Mages and Guardians

Being good is fun and all, but I think it would be sweet to have evil characters as well.

Although the Soul Reaver kind of rides the edge a bit in my oppinion.

Although, I'm not entirely familiar with the setting yet. Does the setting have room for more fantastical creatures and undead hordes or whatever?

Game Balance / Barbarian Charge
August 18, 2009, 05:02:57 AM MT
The cost for the Barbarian's Charge seems a bit expensive to me for just four movement spaces. Now, if he also got a bonus Strength (for the turn) it may be worth it. To prevent it from being used in excess a defense penalty until the start of next turn could suffice.

I'm just not a big fan of spending a precious card for just four steps.
