I have a couple of ideas.  Perhaps, to add a little depth, change the amount of spaces certain units can see, move, and possibly attack range.

I don't like the fact that units can see all the way across the map.

Some units should be able to naturally move faster than others.  Warriors simply shouldn't be able to keep up with rogues.

Should rogues really be able to shoot through units and all the way across the map?

All units, to be created fair move the same speed. Otherwise the units would have to be rebalanced (better abilities/more STR/Def) if they were to be slowed down, but than it wouldnt be fair, they could never catch another unit.  Unless you know a way to fair it up, this idea wouldn't work with a game that is simple to learn.

All units can see across the map, it isnt that far. If you think about it, Lets say a Normal human (with gear and such) is 5 feet tile width (1 tile). 10 tiles one way, 12 tiles another. (so considering seeing someone from the very opposite corner is only about 15.5 tiles (Using A^2 + B^2 = C^2) Which makes it no more than about 75-80 feet. Everyone can see that distance.

Now the rogue shooting people, People are not a solid wall, arrows can arc over them, or curve a bit around. to hit a target behind them. So LoS isn't a big deal. (And if you wish to argue this, Late B.C. Bow shooters on horses could make accurate shots over 100 feet riding a horse)

If you really think that changing those would be a better change for the game (And not a change that will be more how you play the game). Than give a better more specific example and how it can be balanced so it doesnt make certain units useless.  Currently the units are decently balanced, and if used certain ways are really good depending how they are played and combined with other units.
